Last summer we travelled to Vietnam.  After spending a couple of days trekking the mountains of Sapa and a few more wandering the historical streets of Hanoi, we spent a couple of relaxing days on Halong Bay.

After a beautiful day on the water, our boat moored in a remote harbour moments before a brief summer rainstorm passed through.   The cool, refreshing rain subsided just in time to catch a final glimpse of the sunset as we settled in for a quiet evening.

I will write more about my trip to Vietnam soon.  For now, I hope this photo reveals some of the unexpected beauty I found there.
