A small town Canadian girl at heart, I moved to the United Arab Emirates in 2008 and have been enjoying every minute of life abroad. I live curiously among the desert sands and towering sky scrapers in Dubai with my husband, my daughter and another baby on the way. Each new day introduces us to a new adventure and an intriguing collection of global perspectives. I consume as much as I can and have made some incredible friends along the way.
Dubai also happens to be an international travel hub and thanks to long days at the office, a few strategically located friends and my husband’s extensive collection of travel points, I have visited more than 20 different countries and stayed at some of the most fabulous hotels and resorts in the world. A quiet beach in the Maldives, safari in Kenya, skiing in Switzerland, partying in Lebanon, New Year’s Eve in Paris – from here your options are only as limited as your imagination!
There are many different versions of the Dubai lifestyle. My version happens to focus on traveling, eating and experiencing as much as my wallet (and my skinny jeans!) will allow… because that is what I love to do.
Now if only I could find someone willing to pay me to do it!
