About Me

A small-town Canadian girl at heart, I moved to Dubai with my husband in 2008 when we got married.  Like many expats, we intended to stay for a couple of years, but loved our life in the United Arab Emirates so much that we stayed a decade longer in the sun than planned.

When I wasn’t hard at work in the tech sales world, filling my desktop with files, I spent every minute of my vacation time exploring the globe, eating all the yummy things, raising two gorgeous daughters, and renovating our first family home in the desert.

Me somewhere in the middle of Maasai Mara, Kenya.

Fifteen years, hundreds of flights, and 70,000 photos later, (OMG – 70,000!) we moved back to Canada to spend more time with family and introduce our girls to the Great White North.  Now that we are more settled, I am sorting through years of beautiful adventures I promised to share but didn’t when responsibilities got in the way, slowly renovating another house, planning new adventures, and figuring out what it means to call two distant countries home.
